Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Mexico is seeking an experienced automation engineer to develop, program, troubleshoot, and integrate industrial systems. You will design, modify, and optimize PLC logic for automated equipment and work with advanced HMI/SCADA interfaces.

The role requires hands-on work with Siemens TIA Portal and PLC programming, plus configuring drives, sensors, and fieldbus networks. FAT, commissioning, and validation of equipment are essential components of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens PLC programming is required.
• Experience designing, modifying, and optimizing PLC logic for automated equipment.
• Hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA systems and operator interfaces.
• Experience with configuring drives, servos, VFDs, sensors, and remote I/O systems.

Job description

• Develop, program, troubleshoot, and integrate industrial automation systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens PLC programming is required.
• Design, modify, and optimize PLC logic for automated equipment.
• Develop and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA systems and operator interfaces.
• Configure drives, servos, VFDs, sensors, and remote I/O systems.
• Support FANUC 6-axis robotics and iRVision applications.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hardware, and software issues in automated systems.
• Work with machine vision, barcode readers, and industrial communication protocols, including Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and EtherCAT.
• Assist with electrical design, control panel layouts, and machine concept development.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), equipment commissioning, and validation.
• Support equipment installation, startup, integration, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
