Schneider Electric seeks a Mechanical Engineer to sustain and maintain the existing Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboard offer from a design and technical perspective.

You will support manufacturing plants across North America, quality, customer support, and other cross‑functional teams by evaluating design issues, approving deviations, reviewing documentation, and ensuring changes preserve safety, reliability, and manufacturability.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Advanced English level.
• More than 3 years of experience responsible for usability testing and design of high‑tech products (hardware or software) in support of end‑user needs.
• Product experience related to the design of Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboard.
• Previous product development experience is preferred.
• Creation of multiple component/assembly solutions to envision product concepts; CAD software manipulation included.
• Assist in verification of design to performance requirements; test plan and results analysis involved.
• Interface with manufacturing to ensure optimized component/assembly from fabrication/assembly concerns (Tolerance Analysis).
• Develop electronic and hard copy records conforming to internal standards (BOM, drawings, project files).
• Prepare instructional/operational information and preliminary sketches/diagrams.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the existing Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboard offer from a design perspective.
• Support manufacturing plants with design-related questions, issues, deviations, and product clarifications.
• Evaluate plant requests and determine potential impacts on product performance, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and compliance.
• Support technical resolution of recurring issues in manufacturing, assembly, documentation, or product configuration.
• Ensuring changes or deviations do not create unintended consequences for other plants, product variants, or customer applications.
