Job Summary

This role is primarily focused on strategic activities within procurement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the development of commodity strategies, contract negotiations, program sourcing decisions, and driving value and cost-reduction initiatives. The role is responsible for selecting qualified suppliers and related services in accordance with company and corporate policies and procedures.

Role& Responsibilities

• Support the local Team and Regional Plant Operations.
• Develop Commodity Strategies that support overall business objectives and drive value and cost savings.
• Utilize strong negotiation and value-analysis skills to reduce overall costs and meet or exceed annual cost objectives established by business leaders.
• Lead final negotiations and approvals for all regional sourcing and present recommendations to the Regional/Global Sourcing Committee followed by DOA.
• Source materials and services in accordance with company and corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain and promote strong relationships with suppliers and the business community through strict adherence to the principles outlined in the Global Code of Conduct.
• Stay current on regulations, laws, and market conditions that may impact product availability, strategy, and pricing.
• Participate in special analyses and projects as required.
• 3-5 years of business experience preferred, including 1-3 years in a relevant Indirect Services strategic role (e.g., strategic negotiation and sourcing).(employee transportation, cafeteria, consulting services, software services etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Spanish-English) along with strong time-management abilities.
• Strong leadership skills. (leader position/buyer)
• Proven track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, able to perform with minimal supervision, take ownership, and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to consistently achieve results.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and JSS suppliers to meet or exceed business objectives.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, with a comprehensive understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement of goods, services, and supply contracts.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree required related to administration
