Job summary

We seek a supply chain professional to design and optimize packaging strategies for new projects, collaborating with manufacturing teams to balance safety, quality and cost while reducing lead times.

The role focuses on inventory planning, lean improvements, and coordinating packaging development from concept to production,

Responsibilities

• Design and define the optimal supply chain and packaging strategy for new projects with safety, quality, and cost focus.
• Develop inbound/outbound logistics, material and information flows with manufacturing teams.
• Calculate and manage project budgets for supply chain and packaging.
• Base quotations on standardized equipment, processes and best practices.
• Identify and escalate industrial, logistics, or packaging risks.
• Plan inventory to reduce lead times and improve service for packaging.
• Develop packaging specs for semi-finished/finished goods.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, suppliers, and plant teams.
• Coordinate testing and implementation of packaging equipment for production trials.
• Apply lean and continuous improvement to boost logistics performance.

• Design and define the optimal supply chain and packaging strategy for new projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service while minimizing costs and inventory levels.
• Develop supply chain concepts covering inbound, outbound, internal logistics, material flows, information flows, and customer delivery processes in close collaboration with manufacturing teams and plant operations.
• Calculate and manage project-related supply chain and packaging budgets, including cost-per-part analyses, logistics investments, and packaging expenditures.
• Ensure quotations and project assumptions are based on standardized equipment, processes, and best practices.
• Identify, assess, and escalation potential industrial, logistics, or packaging-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Planning optimal inventory and stock levels across the supply chain with a focus on lead-time reduction, efficiency, and service performance of expendable and returnable packaging.
• Develop packaging specifications for semi-finished and finished products, translating customer requirements into practical and cost-effective packaging solutions.
• Collaborate with assembly engineers, manufacturing project managers, suppliers, and plant teams to ensure packaging solutions meet operational and customer requirements.
• Coordinate the development, testing, validation, and implementation of packaging equipment and materials, ensuring readiness for production trials and customer approvals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean principles and supply chain optimization methodologies to enhance logistics performance and operational efficiency.
