Garrett Advancing Motion in Mexicali seeks an experienced Senior Buyer to drive supplier selection and sourcing for new launches and cost saving projects. This role blends procurement expertise with project management to ensure supplier performance and sustainability across regional supply chains.

You will own project deliverables for sourced components, negotiate with suppliers, and support trade, compliance and data-driven reporting. 5+ years in procurement and bilingual English required.

• +5 years' experience in procurement or purchasing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and execute suppliers' selection process for New Launches and Cost Saving Projects (for the assigned projects) in alignment with the commodity panel Strategy.
• Own Project deliverables for sourced components, and compliance to components designs.
• Suggest Resourcing opportunities to commodity & participate to ideas generation for Cost Saving Projects.
• Mass Production Operations – Act as Operation Supplier Contact, Help regional engagement on components scope.
• Handle logistics/capacity/quality issues in the region as the first sourcing interface of plant supply chain & Quality (according to escalation process) | Collect capacity data from suppliers.
• Validate and negotiate charge-back amounts
• Support for trade, compliance & sustainability related information collection
• Support and contribute to Commodity panels strategy within his GBE/Region by: Executing productivity objectives. Ensuring supplier performance review and action plan tracking and feedback commodity.

• Acting as Project Buyer for his respective scope:
• Lead and execute suppliers' selection process for New Launches and Cost Saving Projects (for the assigned projects) in alignment with the commodity panel Strategy
• Own Project deliverables for his sourced components, and compliance to components designs.
