Siemens Energy Wind Power in North America is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to oversee the financial performance of large onshore wind projects from initiation through execution and closeout.

You will forecast, budget, and monitor cash flows, drive cost controls, and ensure audits and reporting meet corporate standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project accounting, financial controlling, or financial analysis.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain project financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections to support successful project execution and profitability.
• Perform financial controlling activities, including variance analysis, cost tracking, revenue recognition, and monitoring accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and deliver month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Lead project financial closing activities, including accruals, allocations, ledger maintenance, and audit support.
• Identify financial risks and communicate performance to stakeholders; drive process improvements and reporting enhancements.

As a Commercial Project Manager within the Siemens Energy Wind Power, Onshore North America division, you will oversee the financial performance of complex onshore wind projects throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, business leaders, and operational teams to develop financial forecasts, manage budgets, monitor project profitability, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Your day will involve analyzing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, supporting audits, and providing strategic insights to leadership. This role requires strong expertise in project accounting, financial controls, and stakeholder communication to drive successful project outcomes.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Develop and maintain project financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections to support successful project execution and profitability.
• Perform financial controlling activities, including variance analysis, cost tracking, revenue recognition, and monitoring accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and deliver accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
• Lead project financial closing activities, including accruals, allocations, ledger maintenance, and audit support.
• Identify financial risks, provide recommendations to mitigate issues, and communicate project financial performance to key stakeholders and leadership.
• Drive process improvements and implement enhanced financial reporting standards, tools, and controls to support business objectives.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project accounting, financial controlling, or financial analysis within the energy, construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries.
• Proven experience managing the financial performance of large and complex projects, including forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and revenue recognition.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools, including Power BI and Power Query.
• CPA and/or PMP certification preferred, with strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
