SWBC is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to oversee the collections staff, ensuring performance aligns with department goals and FDCPA and state/federal requirements. You will allocate workloads, monitor schedules, and coordinate with financial institutions to meet client expectations.

The role requires strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills, with extensive experience in delinquent and charged-off debt collections. Travel locally or nationally may be required.

Formación

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• FDCPA certification required.
• Minimum of five (5) years overseeing and managing collection processes and procedures, including at least two (2) years of charged-off debt collections.
• Extensive knowledge of consumer laws and collections regulations including FDCPA.
• Proficient negotiation skills.
• Extensive experience collecting severely delinquent, charged-off debt.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Able to work under stressful conditions while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Working knowledge of personal computers to include MS Word and Excel.
• Able to sit for long periods analyzing, executing, updating, and validating business reports and/or collection accounts.
• Able to travel locally and/or nationally.

Responsabilidades

• Determines workload for Collections personnel and suggests schedules to meet performance and FTE utilization with cost effectiveness.
• Maintains communication with financial institutions to convey client expectations.
• Reviews and recommends performance ratings, promotions, salary changes, transfers and terminations of staff.
• Ensures adherence to departmental goals, policies, procedures and directions to encourage growth and development of collections products.
• Manages staff and activities involved with collections, including scheduling, attendance, evaluations, coaching, and issue resolution.
