Metalsa seeks an Engineering professional to lead strategic initiatives in paint systems and corrosion protection. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and external partners to support new product launches and manufacturing improvements, while implementing advanced technologies across the organization.

The role requires applying Lean methods, conducting experiments, and developing standard work and training materials to drive process excellence.

Formación

• Degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in metal-mechanic manufacturing.
• 3+ years in paint processes or coatings (e-coat, powder, liquid).
• Advanced English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead standardization of paint and surface treatment practices across operations.
• Support new product launches and paint-related manufacturing projects.
• Develop and maintain process standards, procedures, and training materials.
• Evaluate and implement new paint technologies, equipment and processes.
• Conduct feasibility, capability, and capacity analyses for paint operations.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations to ensure compliance and product validation.
• Support RFQ activities with technical input for new business.
• Drive Lean-based continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Design DOE and process trials to optimize performance.

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives focused on paint systems, corrosion protection, process innovation, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Program Management, and external partners to support new product launches, manufacturing improvements, and the implementation of advanced technologies across the organization

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and standardization of paint and surface treatment best practices across manufacturing operations.
• Support new product launches and the implementation of paint-related manufacturing projects.
• Develop and maintain process standards, operating procedures, technical documentation, and training materials.
• Evaluate, validate, and implement new paint technologies, equipment, and manufacturing solutions.
• Conduct feasibility, capability, and capacity analyses for existing and future paint operations.
• Partner with Quality and Operations teams to ensure process compliance, customer requirements fulfillment, and successful product validation.
• Support RFQ activities and contribute technical input for new business opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Design and execute process trials and DOE (Design of Experiments) to optimize performance and process stability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience within the metal-mechanic manufacturing industry.
• 3+ years of experience in paint processes, e-coat, powder coating, liquid paint, surface treatment, or corrosion protection systems.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
• Availability for domestic and international travel.
