Yanfeng Seating in San Luis Potosí is seeking an E-coating Process Engineer to lead electrophoresis operations for automotive components. The role focuses on optimizing coating performance, monitoring tank chemistry, and ensuring consistent product quality.

The candidate will train operators, manage process parameters, and coordinate maintenance of electrophoresis equipment. A background in chemical engineering and 3+ years in automotive electrophoresis is required.

• Majoring in Chemical Engineering or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in electrophoresis of automotive metal parts.
• Experience with electrophoresis of automotive components.
• Knowledge of surface treatment technologies for metallic materials and corrosion protection.
• Ability to monitor and control pH, conductivity, solids, temperature, voltage, and current in electrophoresis processes.
• Experience in training and supervising electrophoresis line operators.
• Ability to formulate and adjust tank solution composition based on analysis results.
• Ability to detect impurities or microbial growth and implement purification measures.
• Knowledge of quality assessments: thickness, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and visual inspection.

Responsabilidades

• Optimize existing electrophoresis processes through experiments and data analysis to improve coating quality.
• Monitor and control electrophoresis tank solution parameters (pH, conductivity, solids, temp, voltage, current).
• Supervise and train operators to follow process standards and reduce human errors.
• Manage tank solution usage, replacement schedules, sampling, and composition adjustments.
• Address tank solution anomalies and implement purification measures to maintain cleanliness.
• Conduct comprehensive quality checks on electrophoresed parts (visual, thickness, adhesion, corrosion).
• Perform routine maintenance of electrophoresis equipment (tank, rectifier, ultrafiltration, drying oven).
• Oversee raw materials for electrophoresis and supplier quality assessments.
• Utilize testing tools to interpret data and ensure coating quality.

Our operations located in San Luis Potosí is seeking: E-coating Process Engineer.

Responsibilities

1. Majoring in Chemical Engineering and Technology, Material Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or related fields.
2. More than 3 years of experience in electrophoresis of automotive metal parts, with preference given to those experienced in the electrophoresis process of automotive components.
3. Mastery of surface treatment technologies for metallic materials, including pretreatment processes, and understanding the basic principles of metal corrosion and protection.
4. Responsible for continuously optimizing existing electrophoresis processes, improving electrophoresis efficiency through experiments and data analysis, while also enhancing coating quality.
5. Responsible for rigorously monitoring various parameters of the electrophoresis tank solution, including but not limited to pH, conductivity, solid content, temperature, voltage, and current, ensuring stability in the production process, and maintaining consistent and reliable quality of the electrophoresis coating.
6. Responsible for the training and supervision of personnel operating on the electrophoresis production line, ensuring that operators follow established process standards to prevent quality issues caused by human operational errors.
7. Responsible for the daily management of the electrophoresis tank solution, formulating plans for the addition and replacement of the tank solution. Regularly sample and analyze the tank solution, and timely adjust its composition based on analysis results to ensure the solution is always in an optimal working state.
8. Responsible for handling various anomalies that may occur in the tank solution, such as the introduction of impurities or microbial growth, and adopting effective purification measures to maintain the cleanliness of the solution, ensuring the electrophoresis coating is defect-free.
9. Conduct comprehensive quality assessments of automotive metal parts after electrophoresis, including visual inspections, film thickness measurements, adhesion tests, and corrosion resistance tests. For any quality issues that arise, perform in-depth cause analysis and propose effective improvement measures.
10. Responsible for the daily maintenance of electrophoresis-related equipment (electrophoresis tank, rectifier, ultrafiltration devices, drying oven, etc.), formulating a detailed equipment maintenance plan and strictly executing it to ensure normal operation of the equipment and minimize the impact of equipment failures on production.
11. Monitor the usage of raw materials for electrophoresis (electrophoretic paint, additives, chemicals, etc.), and handle supplier selection and quality assessment to ensure that procured materials meet electrophoresis process requirements.
12. Proficient in using various electrophoresis quality testing equipment and tools, such as thickness gauges, adhesion testers, salt spray test chambers, etc., and able to accurately interpret testing data.
