Job summary

Google LLC in Mexico City is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to help customers adopt Google Cloud and resolve complex deployment issues, spanning networking, system administration, and scripting.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Customer organizations, develop diagnostic tools, improve documentation, and provide 24x7 support as part of a global team. Fluency in English and cloud fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs, and triaging technical issues (hardware, software, application, process).
• 5 years of experience with computer networking and web technologies (HTTP, DNS, etc.).
• Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to interact with regional customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of engineers/consultants that globally ensure 24-hour customer support.
• Manage the customer’s problem through diagnosis, resolution, or investigation tools implementation to increase productivity for customer issues on Google Cloud Platform products.
• Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for Engineering, Sales, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
• Develop an understanding of Google's product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, determining the root cause for customer reported issues, and building tools for faster diagnosis.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to improve the product, and interact with Site Reliability Engineering teams to drive high-quality production. Understand customer issues and advocate their needs with cross-functional teams.
