Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer for Compute Engine to troubleshoot complex customer issues and advocate for efficient, scalable cloud solutions. You will join a global team providing 24x7 support and work across Engineering, Sales, and customer organizations.

Role requires strong networking, system administration, and scripting when needed, with English fluency for interaction with regional stakeholders. Non-standard hours and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs; triaging technical issues.
• 5 years of experience with computer networking and web technologies (HTTP, HTML, DNS, etc.).
• System administrator level experience with Linux/Unix or Windows systems.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to interact with regional customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 support and manage customer issues for Google Cloud Platform products.
• Diagnose, resolve, or investigate deployment obstacles; improve products, tools, and processes.
• Consult with Engineering, Sales, and customer orgs to resolve technical deployment challenges.
• Develop understanding of Google's product technology and architectures to diagnose customer issues and build faster tooling.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve products and advocate customer needs.
