Carrier Global Corporation in Mexico is seeking a Systems Modeling Engineer to develop and maintain performance models for water-cooled chiller systems. You will apply heat transfer, thermodynamics, and numerical methods to build and validate models that predict system behavior.

The role requires strong programming in Fortran and C# (or C/C++, Java), plus collaboration with global engineering teams. You will document methods and ensure model accuracy to support HVAC/R product performance.

Formación

• University degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years experience or 5+ years with advanced degree.
• Strong fundamentals: heat transfer, thermodynamics, numerical methods, nonlinear equation systems.
• Experience with thermal-fluid system modeling.
• Hands-on programming in Fortran and C# (preferred) or similar languages (C/C++, Java).
• Experience developing or maintaining engineering calculation models or simulation tools.
• Experience in HVAC/R, power systems, or related equipment domain.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts or define modeling approaches.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain HVAC system and component calculation models.
• Define model requirements and test plans.
• Perform verification and validation of models.
• Implement algorithms and numerical methods.
• Develop and maintain calculation software in Fortran-based and C#.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development Engineering, and global teams.
• Ensure model accuracy, robustness, and maintainability through validation.
• Document modeling assumptions, methods, and results for traceability.
