Güntner in Apodaca, Nuevo León, is seeking a Certification Engineer to lead regulatory compliance for our equipment, manage department budgets, and drive strategic savings projects.

The role focuses on standards like PED, ASME, CRN, UL, ETL, ISO 9001, and NPI coordination, including supplier communication and cost control. Mature collaboration with global teams is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related fields). A specialization or focus on Thermal Engineering is highly desirable.
• 2+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer or Quality Engineer (preferably within HVAC, heat exchanger, or heavy manufacturing industries).
• Advanced English is required for interpreting international codes and communicating with global compliance bodies/suppliers.

Responsabilidades

• Regulatory compliance: act as SME for standards such as PED, ASME, CRN, UL and ETL, ensuring product/material compliance.
• Quality management: maintain ISO 9001 procedures, update workflows, and lead quarterly internal audits.
• NPI coordination: manage certification process for new products, communicate with suppliers, and handle purchase requisitions.
• Financial tracking: drive cost-saving projects, negotiate certification costs, and develop monthly KPI reports.
• Internal advocacy: champion compliance and disseminate updates across Güntner.

In this role, you will be the key player in driving regulatory compliance for our equipment, managing department budgets, and leading strategic savings projects.

Your Main Challenges

• Regulatory Compliance: Act as the subject matter expert for key standards including PED, ASME, CRN, UL, and ETL, ensuring all products and materials meet international requirements.
• Quality Management Systems: Maintain and update procedures, workflows, and process maps under ISO 9001, while leading quarterly internal audits.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Coordinate the certification process for new products and accessories, maintaining constant communication with suppliers and managing purchase requisitions/orders.
• Financial Tracking & KPIs: Drive cost‑saving projects, negotiate certification costs with vendors/agencies, and develop the department's budget and monthly KPI reports.
• Internal Advocacy: Serve as the internal champion for compliance, spreading awareness and updates regarding certifications across the organization (Güntner).

What are we looking for?

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related fields). A specialization or strong focus on Thermal Engineering is highly desirable.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer or Quality Engineer (preferably within the HVAC, heat exchanger, or heavy manufacturing industries).
• Languages: Advanced English is a must (essential for interpreting international codes and communicating with global compliance bodies/suppliers).
