ABB in San Luis Potosí is seeking a Category Manager to support regional/global sourcing initiatives. You will purchase materials according to technical specs, price, delivery, and terms, ensuring alignment with corporate purchasing policies.

This role is onsite within Electrification Distribution Solutions. You will define sourcing strategies, manage procurement planning and cost budgets, negotiate with suppliers, renew terms, adapt contracts, and establish standard agreements locally.

Formación

• 5+ years experience in Sourcing, Purchasing for Manufacturing industry (Electrical or Mechanical experience preferred)
• Experience in project/program management
• Knowledge of supplier development processes
• Understanding of global/local procurement frameworks

Responsabilidades

• Support regional/global sourcing initiatives under Category Manager or independently within defined thresholds
• Purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms
• Ensure purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures
• Plan and track procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts
• Negotiate with main suppliers and periodically renew price lists, terms and conditions
• Adapt corporate contractual frameworks to local business needs and recommend/execute frame agreements
• Define and establish local standard agreements with major suppliers, maintaining terms and conditions in line with directives
