Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of sourcing/purchasing experience in manufacturing (electrical/ mechanical preferred).
• Project/program management experience.
• Supplier development experience.
• Advanced English required.
• SAP and MS Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of electrical norms (OL, CSA, CFE, ANSI) desirable.

This position reports to:

Category Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Each day, you will purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing process and business strategy, ensuring that suppliers can meet current and future business requirements, as well as ensuring that all relevant parties grasp strategies and execute processes accordingly.
• Managing the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts.
• Buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines in order to minimize quality and financial risks
• Negotiating with main suppliers, and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions
• Adapting corporate contractual frameworks to local business needs, and recommending frame agreements to management and executing them, as well as providing oversight and contract management with suppliers.
• Choosing appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with company policies.
• Defining and establishing local standard agreements with all major suppliers, while providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, International Trade/Business or similar
• 5+ years experience in Sourcing, Purchasing for Manufacturing industry (Electrical or Mechanical experience preferred)
• Project/program management experience
• Supplier Development experience
• Advanced English (required)
• SAP and MS Excel
• Knowledge of Electrical Norms such as OL, CSA, CFE, ANSI desirable.
