Job summary

Baker McKenzie in Mexico is seeking a Collections Analyst to support cash collection activities, help ensure timely payment of invoices, and maintain accurate financial records.

You will collaborate with clients, Partners, and internal finance teams to resolve issues, reduce aged debt, and deliver high levels of client service. Proficiency in English and MS Office is required; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in collections or accounts receivable.
• Experience with financial systems; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding receivables via email and phone.
• Support collection efforts to reduce aged debt and improve cash flow.
• Review billing and payment information for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor accounts and identify overdue invoices requiring action.
• Prepare adjustments, write-offs, write-downs, and related documentation.
• Maintain collection notes and account records in firm systems.
• Respond to client and internal inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
• Partner with Revenue, Billing, and Finance teams to resolve issues.
• Prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Escalate issues and support process improvements.
