Ford is seeking an experienced CAE engineer to advance structural simulation for transmission driveline architectures. You will perform strength and fatigue assessments on housing, shafts, gears, and bearings, and run large DOEs to optimize performance, mass, and cost. Proficiency in Abaqus/OptiStruct, CATIA, and scripting is required.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 2–5+ years in automotive product development, durability and structural analysis.
• Strong knowledge of FEA, solid mechanics, fatigue.
• Experience with Abaqus/OptiStruct and CAE pre/post processing.

Responsabilidades

• Perform strength and fatigue assessments (linear and nonlinear) for transmission components and drivelines.
• Analyze gears, shafts, bearings, differentials, and clutches for structural integrity.
• Run large DOEs to optimize structure, mass, and cost.
• Automate CAE tasks using Python or TCL scripting.
• Collaborate with D&R engineers to evaluate architectures and ensure vehicle requirements.
• Prepare CAE status reports and presentations for management.
• Mentor junior staff and lead large-scale analyses as needed.
