Job summary

Lennox International in Saltillo, Mexico is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement professional to source and negotiate with approved vendors, place purchase orders, and support lean manufacturing goals. You will evaluate bids, drive supplier development, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and cost targets.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, at least 1 year in purchasing, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and proficiency with procurement systems, Excel and Word.

Objective of Position

Under general supervision, responsible for selecting and negotiating with approved vendors and placing purchase orders in response to product requirements established by various departments within the organization. Evaluates bids, selects and recommends suppliers and negotiates price, quality and service.

• Intermediate knowledge in a wide range of concepts and approaches, including purchasing for lean manufacturing, Kanban and supplier, development.
• Requires strong negotiation abilities and above average, analytical skills.
• Shows excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires some knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
• Competent in computerized procurement systems.
• Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
