Watlow in Mexico is seeking a professional to handle Purchasing and Planning while supporting New Product Developments (NPDs) and New Product Introductions (NPIs). You will manage internal purchase requests, generate external purchase orders, and track the timely delivery of goods and services.

Additionally, you will source, purchase, and negotiate materials with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (+2 years) preferred.
• Leadership training appreciated.
• Conversational English required.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate physical movement of materials, parts, finished goods, and information to optimize cost and service level.
• Manage incoming internal purchasing requests, generate external purchasing requests, and track delivery of goods and services.
• Purchase and negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
• Develop and manage supply base through supplier selection, corrective actions, audits and feedback systems.
• Negotiate and settle with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes.
• Negotiate requirements for pre-productions samples.
• Review and follow-up on late supplier shipments.
• Deliver continuous improvement through participation in lean kaizen events.

Additionally, it is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies with suppliers to ensure cost-effective.

Responsabilities

• Purchases and negotiates materials, equipment, and supplies from suppliers.
