Plexus is seeking a procurement professional to manage material purchases in alignment with the company’s standards and customer contracts. The role focuses on AVL adherence, unit price, quality, and on-time delivery to support production schedules.

You will drive tactical buying decisions, maintain optimal inventory, and contribute to automation projects while mentoring junior teammates in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Purchasing of materials in accordance with Plexus guidelines and customer contracts (AVL adherence, unit price, quality and delivery).
• Make tactical buying decisions with respect to PO placement, rescheduling and cancellations, and resolving non-conforming material or invoice queries.
• Minimize inventory while maintaining adequate material to meet production plans.
• Collaboratively manage procurement automation processes to support efficient purchasing and ensure data integrity; decide when to leverage automation versus exceptions.
• Coach and mentor less experienced buyers to ensure effectiveness and provide positive leadership.

Purpose Statement: Individuals are expected to be self sufficient in managing the procurement execution of assigned goods, commodities and/or services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing as detailed in Purchasing SOP’s and WI’s.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Responsible for purchasing of materials in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Plexus management and the customer’s contract in terms of AVL adherence, unit price, quality and delivery.
• Makes tactical buying decisions with respect to the placement and management of all purchase orders.
  This process encompasses order placement, rescheduling and cancellations, as well as timely resolution of non conforming material, goods in discrepancies and invoice queries.
• Minimize inventory while maintaining adequate material to meet production plans.
  Initiate appropriate corrective action and escalation to avoid impacting the production schedule.
• Collaboratively manage established procurement automation processes which includes optimizing, troubleshooting, and ensuring data integrity within our automation systems to support efficient and accurate purchasing.
  Includes tactical decision-making of when to leverage automation vs request exceptions in overall execution.
• Coach and mentor less experienced members of the buying team to ensure optimum effectiveness, while acting as a role model and projecting a positive attitude.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements:

• Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.

Travel Requirements:

• Less than 40%
