Flextronics - The Flex Company seeks a Buyer Direct to support SpinCo initiatives, coordinating procurement of direct materials and equipment. Based at the Guadalajara North campus, you will work with production planning, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective sourcing.

The role requires experience in manufacturing purchasing, Excel proficiency, and ERP knowledge (SAP, Baan, Oracle).

Responsabilidades

• Place orders for raw materials and purchased parts according to production requirements.
• Receive and handle order confirmations and modify orders per production plan.
• Track shipments and manage stock levels to avoid overstocking.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses for transportation.
• Maintain procurement records and supplier performance data.
• Approve invoices for payment and resolve discrepancies.

Job Summary Job Summary: Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. The Buyer Direct will be based in Guadalajara North campus reporting to the Purchasing manager direct. This role will be coordinating activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment while supporting different areas within the company and external clients.

• Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production.
• Receiving and handling the confirmations.
• Checking the purchase orders and modifying them according to the changes in the production plan with the help of the Shortage List and the Open Purchase Order List.
• Tracking shipments, urging them if needed.
• Regular, weekly check of the stocks, avoiding overstock.
• Minimizing the risk of obsolescence with the help of the weekly check of the obsolete report.
• Correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation.
• Dealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues.
• Checking the inventory of critical materials (personally if needed) according to the Shortage List.
• Getting in touch with the right warehouse personnel and having the discrepancy modified if there is any inventory discrepancies.
• Assuring all active components according to production needs, in time, for the accord price in the request.
• Reviews requisitions and MRP output.
• Contact with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
• Orders, reschedules and cancels material based on requisitions and MRP output.
• Maintains procurement records such as items purchased, costs, delivery and inventories.
• Manages supplier to price, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.
• Approves invoices for payment.
• Investigation inventory levels.
• Monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle.
• Conducts quarterly supplier reviews.
• Maintains procurement records, reports and metrics.

Experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Consistent experience working in similar role with purchasing activities within manufacturing environment.
• Excel intermediate knowledge.
• English intermediate (able to read, write and speak).
• ERP knowledge (SAP, Baan, Oracle).
