Flex Guadalajara is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support SpinCo, the planned Spin-off of Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure unit. Based at the North Campus in Guadalajara, you will implement and maintain quality programs, oversee NPI validations, and drive supplier quality improvements.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and requires strong experience with PPAP, supplier qualification, and risk management, with advanced English required. Competitive benefits available.

Responsabilidades

• Select the suitable supplier with jointed-effort of sourcing on quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environment, society regulation, etc., against customer requirements.
• Implement the new supplier qualification through capability matching, supplier risk assessment, self-assessment, onsite qualification audit, qualification database management.
• Understand customer drawings and specifications to feedback value-added engineering proposals to customer and supplier for optimization of supplier manufacturing processes or products.
• Implement PPAP (FAI) including FAI, Material Certificates, Quality/Process Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, RoHS compliance, Reliability Test, COC, etc.
• Track the new qualified parts quality performance in pilot runs and drive supplier corrective actions.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role involves responsibilities to implement and maintain quality engineering programs, standards and improvements within the organization. Will also be in charge of NPI processes validations.

What a typical day looks like:

• Supplier Selection: Select the suitable supplier with jointed-effort of sourcing on aspects of quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environment, society regulation, etc. against customer requirements.
• Supplier Qualification: Implement the new supplier qualification thru the process of capability matching, supplier risk assessment, supplier self-assessment, onsite qualification audit, qualification database management.
• VEA (Value-Added Engineering Activity): Understand customer drawing, specification to feedback value-added engineering proposal to customer and supplier for optimization of supplier manufacturing process or products.
• Material (Component) Qualification: Implement PPAP (FAI). PPAP include FAI, Material Certificates, Quality/Process Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, Process Parameter Sheet, RoHS compliance, Reliability Test, COC, etc.
• Pilot Run Tracking: Track the new qualified parts quality performance to ensure meet the customer quality requirements in pilot run phase. Drive supplier corrective action from supplier in Pilot Runs (1-3 lots) and smoothly transfer the pilot run to mass production.

Experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English (Written & Spoken).
• Strong experience in supplier claims.
• Experience managing risk inventories.
• Experience with metal-mechanical and electronics suppliers.
• Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
