Copeland Industrial LP in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking a Purchasing/Supply Chain Associate to manage supplier orders and material procurement. The role involves coordinating with engineering and production, maintaining Oracle ERP data, and ensuring timely deliveries in a hybrid office setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain or Business Administration with 1–2 years of experience, strong negotiation skills, and solid communication abilities for cross-functional teams.

Formación

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years in Supply Chain or Purchasing. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • ERP/MRP experience or knowledge and ability to read, analyze, and interpret purchase orders, vendor catalogs, supplier correspondence, etc.
  • Ability to write business correspondence and to negotiate with vendors and internal teams.

Responsabilidades

  • Procure materials from suppliers at best price while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
  • Process purchase requisitions and place orders; ensure delivery dates align with production and sales needs.
  • Follow up and expedite orders to meet production and customer service requirements.
  • Resolve Receiving and invoice discrepancies promptly.
  • Update stakeholders on order changes affecting service (product/delivery/quality).
  • Assist in processing quality issues (RMA, NCR, rework).
  • Maintain Oracle data: pricing, quantities, part numbers, lead times, etc.

Who You Are:

You are a Customer focused, committed person who is able to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with internal and external customers across Copeland’s functional areas, to see items through to completion.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. 1. Procure materials from established suppliers at the best price advantage to the company, while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
  2. 2. Process purchase requisitions and place orders with suppliers, ensure delivery dates align with production and sales requirements.
  3. 3. Actively follow up and expedite orders to meet production and customer service requirements and enter all changes and updates in the purchasing system.
  4. 4. Resolve Receiving and invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
  5. 5. Update stakeholders with order changes that impact their required service (product changes, delivery changes, quality issues, etc.).
  6. 6. Assist in processing quality-related issues (RMA's, NCR's, rework, scrap) on a timely basis.
  7. 7. Maintain accurate, reliable, and up-to-date information in Oracle through processing workflows, updating approved pricing, and supplier information. (e.g., pricing, quantity breaks, part numbers, lead times, etc.).
  8. 8. Assist Commodity Managers in miscellaneous tasks as required to promote superior department efficiency.
  9. 9. Assist the Purchasing Manager with special projects and assignments as required.
  10. 10. Work with personnel in other departments to ensure they are receiving the best customer service possible.
  11. 11. Coordinate with engineering to update drawings, ensuring the most current information is available to our suppliers, and that the most recent revision is being ordered.
  12. 12. Complete and maintain all required reports, paperwork, invoices, documentation, etc.
  13. 13. Follow procedures and comply with all quality and safety regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

Required: Bachelor’s degree and one to two (1-2) years of Supply Chain or Purchasing experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. ERP/MRP working experiences or knowledge Ability to read, analyze, and interpret purchase orders, vendor catalogs, supplier correspondence, etc. Ability to write business correspondence Effectively communicate and negotiate with vendors and other employees of the organization.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration. Oracle ERP experience.

Oracle ERP experience Office First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three day per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate and office first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will collaborate in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your teams and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connection and to best serve our customers.
