Molex, a Koch company, is seeking a Materials Buyer to secure raw materials and services for production and to manage inventory levels through a robust MRP system. You will ensure timely orders, monitor open orders, and coordinate with planners and suppliers to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing.

You will work with SAP-based processes, uphold quality standards, and support compliance with PBM and Six Sigma while driving cost-effective procurement strategies.

Formación

• University degree in Administration or Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a procurement/purchasing role.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing.
• Advanced English language skills.

Responsabilidades

• Guarantee the supply of raw materials to production lines on time and with required quality.
• Ensure planners sign production plans 6–12 rolling weeks to enable timely ordering.
• Monitor exception reports and weekly open orders status with suppliers.
• Manage raw materials inventory levels by analyzing demand and consumption.
• Maintain correct MRP parameters and ordering patterns to avoid shortages.
• Track non-conforming materials and obtain return authorizations with suppliers.
• Coordinate with transportation to ship materials to the plant and track progress.
• Support adherence to PBM, Six Sigma, RBA, and CTPAT guidelines.

Responsible for acquiring the goods, services and raw materials necessary to guarantee the Production Operation, as well as the correct administration of the and the maintenance and updating in its entirety of the parameters of the inventory level, through a robust supply system MRP system of the components under its responsibility.

It is responsible for acquiring the goods, services, raw materials and materials in general that are an important part of the production process and are necessary to ensure business continuity. As well as the correct management of inventory levels, through a robust supply system and the maintenance and updating in their entirety of the parameters of the MRP system of the components under their responsibility. Their work impacts annual expenses for indirect materials and services. Analyzes simple, non-repetitive problems and makes decisions that affect their work area. Authorized to evaluate quotes from different suppliers and make decisions of who to order with; and submit them for approval, responsible for the analysis and justification of the PPV'S report.

What you will do

• Guarantee the supply of Raw Material to the Production Lines on time and with the level of Quality Required by the standards to avoid problems in the Manufacturing Process to comply with the CRD
• Ensure that Planners are signing Production Plans 6 to 12 rolling weeks to ensure timely ordering of necessary supplies and services
• Monitor exception reporting and send weekly "Molex Open Orders" to obtain status of each open order with the supplier and act as pertinent
• Manage the life span of raw materials, acquiring the appropriate levels of inventory by analyzing demand and consumption before making purchase commitments, to avoid excess inventory
• Ensure the correct parameters in the MRP system for all raw materials in your charge, and ensure proper ordering patterns to avoid inventory shortages
• Ensure proper tracking of non-conforming raw materials by obtaining return authorization and following up with suppliers until the root cause of the defect is found to ensure future conforming deliveries
• Make the calculation of the appropriate levels of materials and together with the warehouse calculate the space required by the raw materials that will be used in the processes. To avoid overaccumulation of materials
• Ensure that manufacturing orders are with Zero Raw Material Shorts in the CTB Process at new product introductions
• Administration, Handling and Execution of Action and Exception Messages for Purchase Materials
• Monitoring of Inventory Levels to ensure the manufacturing process, as well as the inventory turns that the organization establishes as a goal
• Ensure the administration, creation and monitoring of the purchase orders of the raw materials required by the master plans of the program in their charge until the arrival of the material

• Ensure the closure of non-conformities in the accounts payable system, to avoid possible blocking our suppliers' accounts
• Coordinate with the transportation department the shipments of material and follow up on all stages of transportation until receipt of the material in the Manufacturing plant
• Understand, support and contribute to compliance with the PBM Philosophy, the different Quality Management standards in which the company is certified, in Safety and Hygiene, in environmental management systems, Six Sigma, RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) and CTPAT/OAS following the established policies and procedures
• Perform related or complementary work related to their functions.
• Support in compliance with the guidelines of CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and AEO (Authorized Economic Operator)
