Flex is seeking a Building Facilities Engineer for its Guadalajara North Site, Mexico, to support design and modification of plant facilities. The role involves researching equipment specifications, feasibility assessments, and guiding cross-functional project teams to implement efficient manufacturing spaces.

Applicants should hold an electromechanical/energy engineering degree with manufacturing experience and possess intermediate English.

Formación

• Engineering degree in electromechanical or energy fields.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Research facility products or equipment specifications to define producible designs.
• Define feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities.
• Provide technical information on manufacturing techniques, materials, and processes.
• Compile data to establish performance standards for equipment.
• Study engineering publications to stay updated on industry developments.
• Use computer aided engineering and design software to perform tasks.
• Guide projects and project teams.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Building Facilities Engineer. The Building Facilities Engineer will be based on Guadalajara North Site, Mexico.

Typical day

• Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
• Research engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
• Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors.
• Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
• Compiles and research facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
• Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Guides projects and project teams.

Experience & Qualifications
