Flex, a leading global electronics manufacturer, is seeking a Product Engineer at Guadalajara, South Campus. You will receive, evaluate, and customize customer technical information to establish manufacturing processes while maintaining design and performance integrity.

Daily tasks include product transfer, addressing engineering issues on the production line, and collaborating with design and supply chain teams to ensure high quality and yield.

Formación

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in similar position in electronic manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge in Excel.
• English proficiency (Advanced).
• Experience in Product Lifecycle Systems (Agile, Arena, ProCom) and MRP Systems (SAP, Baan).
• Experience using Floor shop systems.
• Knowledge in ECO implementation personnel management.
• Experience in SMT, Backend, and Product Integration processes.
• Experience in BOM creation, structuring, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of FPLC.

Responsabilidades

• Support production by assessing product engineering issues on the line.
• Suggest improvements to processes to improve quality and yield.
• Solve product-related problems and evaluate failures.
• Interact with customers and departments on product issues.
• Work with design team to resolve design issues.
• Suggest changes to work instructions or materials for quality.
• Evaluate customer BOM and define production structure.
• Review functional product documentation and DFMEA/DFx.
• Support engineering changes and DFM/DOE activities.

Job Summary: To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer located in Guadalajara, South Campus. Reporting to Project Manager, Product Engineer, this position is responsible for receiving, evaluating, cleaning, and customizing all technical information/documentation from the customer related to their product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity.

Typical Day

• Handle product transfer and new product set up.
• Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
• Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield.
• Solve product related problems and perform failure evaluation related to product issues.
• Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues.
• Work with design team to resolve design related issues.
• Suggest modification to work instructions, material, or product changes to ensure excellent quality of products.
• Customer´s Bill of Material (BOM) evaluation and structure definition for production.
• Functional Product Documentation review.
• Safety Requirements and regulations compliance identification.
• Engineering Drawings Interpretation of parts and assemblies.
• Request customer for drawing corrections, additions, clarification, measurements methods.
• Manage Engineering Changes Implementation.
• Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tolerance evaluation, Design of Experiment (DOE), form-fit-function to define failure root/cause evaluation and reporting to customer.
• Provide support to supply chain to integrate parts derived from the vertical integration or localization effort.
• Provide product training to the manufacturing/process engineers for better understanding of the product.

Required Experience

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in similar position in electronic manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge in Excel.
• English Advance Expertise in NPI.
• Experience in Product Lifecycle Systems (Agile, Arena, Procom) and MRP System (SAP, Baan).
• Experience using Floor shop systems.
• Knowledge in personnel management experience in ECO´s implementation.
• Experience in SMT, Backend, and Product Integration processes.
• Experience in Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, structuring, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of FPLC.
