Job summary

SEGULA Technologies seeks a Design & Release Engineer (DRE) – Interiors in Toluca, hybrid. You own interior system design from concept through SOP, coordinating CAD integration, DFMEA, PPAP, and supplier interactions while ensuring compliance with packaging, NVH, and safety standards.

The role requires 3–6+ years in automotive interiors, Catia V5/V6 or NX, and PLM tools (Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia). Fluent English and Spanish are expected; attendance at Toluca office 3 days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 3–6+ years of progressive DRE or Component Engineer experience in automotive interiors.
• Experience with automotive release systems and PLM software (Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia).
• Solid knowledge of plastic part design rules and tooling processes.
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Hybrid work arrangement: Toluca office 3 days/week, with flexibility during launches.
• 3D CAD proficiency in Catia V5/V6 or Siemens NX.
• Launch experience at OEM plants in Mexico.
• Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, PMP, or VDA/IATF awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design, integration, and release of interior components from concept through SOP and serial production.
• Coordinate CAD integration, supplier execution, and tooling setup.
• Ensure designs meet packaging, NFH, safety regulations and ergonomics; conduct DFMEA/DVP&R and sign-offs.
• Manage ECR/ECO and APQP/PPAP processes with Tier-1 suppliers.
• Support cost tracking, weight targets, and tooling timing within program budgets.
