SEGULA Technologies in Mexico is seeking a mid-level Design & Release Engineer specializing in body closures to drive end-to-end development, packaging, and release of static and dynamic closure systems. You will collaborate with OEM design teams, CAE analysts, quality engineers, and Tier-1 suppliers to ensure rigidity, sealing, and crash performance.

The role is hybrid, requiring hands-on CAD work, GD&T, and DFMA feasibility, with emphasis on packaging, clearance analysis, and lifecycle control

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Design & Release Engineer or Product Engineer for automotive closures or BIW systems.
• Advanced command of 3D CAD platforms Siemens NX, CATIA V5, or 3DEXPERIENCE and PLM tools Teamcenter or Enovia.
• Familiarity with sheet metal stamping, hem-flange joining, resistance spot welding, structural adhesives, and hardware assembly.
• Professional English and Spanish proficiency for daily collaboration with global teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, packaging, release, and lifecycle management for dynamic closures and static closure systems.
• Integrate moving mechanisms and sealing interfaces including hinges, latches, power closing actuators.
• Perform 3D CAD packaging and clearance analyses in NX or CATIA.
• Maintain GD&T standards and perform tolerance stack-ups.
• Support CAE testing and prototype validation to resolve fit and function issues.
• Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure DFMA feasibility.
