IDT Corporation’s Net2Phone billing team seeks a Lead QA Engineer to own quality for the billing platform, focusing on end-to-end testing of billing correctness, tax, proration, and revenue assurance.

This role combines hands-on QA with leadership: set test strategy, gate product requirements, mentor engineers, and drive automation roadmap while reading SIP traces when needed. Remote work opportunity is available.

Formación

• 8+ years in QA with production billing, rating, or payments systems.
• Strong working knowledge of rating and usage billing, rate decks, and invoicing processes.
• Experience with subscription billing, mid-cycle proration, upgrades/downgrades, trials, and discounts.
• Invoicing experience including line-item totals, credits, manual adjustments, refunds, and dunning.
• SQL skills (joins, aggregations, window functions) to reconcile usage against invoices.
• Precision with decimal vs floating-point rounding and cent-level defects.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring QA engineers.
• Data-driven with ability to push back on untestable requirements and negotiate scope with metrics.
• Proficiency with a formal Test Management System (TMS) and Jira.
• Professional English proficiency with overlap to US Eastern business hours.

Responsabilidades

• Act as an active Scrum team member and maintain related artifacts.
• Own the test strategy for billing across rating, mediation, invoicing, taxation, payments, credits, and adjustments.
• Design and document test coverage for month-end cycles, time zones, reruns, and retry safety.
• Perform revenue-assurance testing by reconciling CDRs with invoiced amounts.
• Trace billing discrepancies to root causes across rating, mediation, or switch issues; read SIP traces when needed.
• Enforce the requirement intake gate with testable acceptance criteria.
• Set and enforce documentation standards for traceability from requirements to tests.
• Drive the automation roadmap and contribute to code/test reviews for the suites.
• Establish and report billing quality metrics: defect escape, coverage, defects per release.
• Mentor billing QA engineers and provide clear technical direction.
• Communicate and elevate product quality risks with evidence.
