Applaudo Studios seeks a Senior Functional QA Engineer to own testing for SaaS billing integrations, ensuring robust validation of configurations, workflows, and data parity across cloud-based systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing of complex billing processes, REST API checks with Postman/Newman, and thorough documentation of test plans, cases, and defects. Notably, a 6-month temporary engagement with overlap to Pacific Time business hours.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, SE, IS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Functional Quality Assurance with SaaS/enterprise apps.
• Strong experience testing via web interfaces.
• Independently create structured test plans for workflows, integrations, edge cases.
• Hands-on testing of billing/subscription workflows and payments.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• REST API testing with Postman/Newman or equivalent.
• SQL knowledge to interpret queries and data-parity reports.
• Ability to collaborate with platform admins and stakeholders.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Able to overlap Pacific Time business hours.

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain a comprehensive functional testing plan for SaaS billing and cloud-data integrations.
• Design test scenarios for billing configurations, subscription lifecycles, invoices, and revenue data flows.
• Execute functional tests primarily through the platform’s graphical interfaces.
• Validate configurations and integrations across standard, negative, boundary, and edge cases.
• Coordinate testing with admins and stakeholders, clarifying responsibilities and outcomes.
• Validate REST API touchpoints with Postman/Newman or equivalent.
• Review data-parity reports to identify anomalies and discrepancies.
• Document test cases, execution evidence, results, defects, and retesting outcomes.
• Collaborate with business and engineering to align test coverage with rules and behavior.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, blockers, and quality concerns clearly.
• Perform regression testing to ensure fixes don’t impact related workflows.
