Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is seeking a Buyer to join our team at the Juarez facility. The role covers procurement of raw materials, PO management, supplier negotiations, and coordination with planning, engineering, and production teams to meet schedules and quality standards.

The Buyer will ensure inventory levels and supplier performance meet DOH targets, while complying with Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and Eaton’s Quality System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Industrial Engineering, or at least three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual English / Spanish required.
• Working knowledge of MRP systems.
• Knowledge about just in time concepts and respective production processes.
• SAP experience.
• ,
• Strong background in the developing, bidding and negotiating contracts is highly desirable.
• Self - motivated and capable of working independently with minimum direction or supervision.
• Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organizations is essential

Responsibilities

• Convert requisitions to PO in line with requirements.
• Change and maintain Purchase orders as required according to established Material Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain system parameters updated at all times.
• Coordinate effective exchange of information between purchasing, planning and production departments.
• Attend daily production meetings.
• Negotiate prices, schedule changes, coordinates supplier's material deviations, and changes for material and services.
• Maintain contact with suppliers advising supervision/management of any changes affecting production.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels (threshold reports) and execute standard work for Buyer function.
• Negotiate supply agreements and terms; arrange consignment and/or Kanban with suppliers as needed.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance and service departments to meet product/program requirements.
• Assist in training of junior buyers as directed by Purchasing Supervisor.
• Ensure purchases/services comply with Environmental Standards and Health & Safety requirements.
• Provide direction to other buyers under supervision.
