Job summary

Jabil is seeking a senior Wintel and Linux server architect to design and secure scalable global infrastructure. You will lead design, automation, and capacity planning across Windows and Linux environments, collaborating with IT teams and vendors.

The role requires 10+ years in IT infrastructure, strong proficiency in VMware vSphere, HAProxy, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and excellent communication. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience with focus on Wintel and Linux server administration and architecture.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and related services.
• Expert-level knowledge of Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu) and services (e.g., HAProxy).
• Strong understanding of virtualization (VMware vSphere) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell).
• Networking concepts, storage (SAN/NAS), and security best practices for server environments.
• Ability to design highly available and DR solutions for Wintel and Linux.
• Certifications (MCSE, RHCE, VCP) are highly desirable.
• Fluent English is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex Wintel and Linux server solutions, including operating systems, virtualization platforms, and associated infrastructure components.
• Develop and maintain architectural standards, policies, and procedures for Wintel and Linux environments, ensuring compliance with security requirements.
• Evaluate new technologies and solutions related to Wintel and Linux, providing recommendations for adoption and integration into Jabil's existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of server infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance and support for critical Wintel and Linux incidents and problems as a SME.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all Wintel and Linux architectural designs, configurations.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and administrators.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning for Wintel and Linux server environments.
• Drive automation initiatives for provisioning, configuration, and management of Wintel and Linux infrastructure.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Wintel and Linux server administration and architecture.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (all versions), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and related services.
• Expert-level knowledge of various Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu) and associated services (e.g., HA Proxy).
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere,) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and security best practices for server environments.
• Proven ability to design and implement highly available and disaster recovery solutions for Wintel and Linux.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, VCP) are highly desirable.
• Fluent English is a must.
