Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Platform Architect to design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable database solutions for Jabil’s global operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our critical data infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

* Lead the architectural design and evolution of Jabil’s database platforms, including relational, NoSQL, and data warehousing technologies.
* Define and enforce database standards, best practices, and governance policies across the organization.
* Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools to meet evolving business needs and optimize performance.
* Collaborate with development teams, system administrators, and other architects to integrate database solutions seamlessly into Jabil’s IT ecosystem.
* Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of database environments.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, design, and operational procedures.
* Provide expert guidance and mentorship to database administrators and developers on complex database issues.
* Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in database architecture, design, and administration, with a strong focus on large-scale enterprise environments.
* Deep expertise in various database technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar.
* Proven experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and cloud native database architectures.
* Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and database normalization/denormalization techniques.
* Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring tools.
* Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and business intelligence platforms.
* Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for database automation.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.

*Fluent English level is a must.
