Flō Networks, a leading telecom provider between the US and Mexico, seeks a Backbone Support Engineer to maintain IP backbone and ensure reliable service. This hybrid role can be based in Ciudad Juarez or Mexico City, Mexico, and involves outages response, maintenance, and cross-team collaboration.

The successful candidate will monitor alarms, manage BGP/IP networks, and participate in on-call rotations while mentoring teammates and coordinating with external vendors.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• +5 years’ experience managing and delivering network infrastructure.
• Routing and switching technology experience.
• CCNP level certification or similar.
• Knowledge of BGP/OSPF/ISIS, MPLS, VPN, IP/MPLS services.
• Linux experience; scripting in at least one language.

Responsabilidades

• Hardware replacement of faulty core network equipment.
• Monitor backbone network alarms and coordinate with NOC and other teams.
• Load balance traffic and manage BGP/IGP configurations during fiber events.
• Document network changes in inventory systems and coordinate with vendors.
• Coordinate with Logistics for RMA process and escalate issues as needed.
• Support software upgrades and enterprise services (SDWAN, security).
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Computer Engineering

CCNP or similar

Scripting: Python/Perl/Ruby

Cloud networking familiarity
