Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office is seeking a Network Engineer to operate and optimize the data center backbone using spine-leaf topology. You will join a global IT team collaborating with engineers in India and San Diego to ensure high availability and scalable interconnects.

The role requires 3–5 years in data center networks, strong BGP/EVPN, VXLAN knowledge, and hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus/Arista/Juniper QFX. On-site presence in Mexico City is required.

Formación

• 3-5 years of hands-on data center network operations experience.
• Strong understanding of spine-leaf architecture.
• Experience with data center protocols: BGP/EVPN, VXLAN, ECMP.
• Experience with data center switching platforms: Cisco Nexus, Arista, Juniper QFX.
• Excellent written and verbal English for global collaboration.
• On-site work in Mexico City 5 days per week.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot data center network infrastructure (spine-leaf).
• Perform configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and maintenance on data center switches.
• Respond to network incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive RCA within SLAs.
• Execute standard change requests per procedures and change management.
• Support data center interconnect links and ensure reliable connectivity between facilities.
• Collaborate with India operations on shift handoffs and shared tickets.
• Coordinate with San Diego team to implement approved network designs and standards.
• Maintain documentation including topology diagrams, cabling, and baselines.
• Contribute to runbooks and automation initiatives.
