Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Mexico is seeking a role to lead the design, development, integration, validation and release of automotive systems and components. You will work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to meet performance, quality, cost and timing objectives.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering, with 1–2 years in automotive product design, and strong knowledge of CAD tools, DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
• 1–2 years of automotive design, development, validation and release experience.
• Knowledge of CAD tools (NX, CATIA), Teamcenter, DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, FEA and Six Sigma.
• Understanding of automotive electrical/electronic systems and vehicle architectures.
• Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving and supplier management.
• Excellent communication skills and advanced English proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, validation and release of automotive systems.
• Define requirements and develop solutions meeting performance, quality, cost, and timing objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage engineering documentation, risk assessments and design changes.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and product launch support.
• Ensure compliance with standards, manufacturing requirements and customer expectations.
