Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an automotive product development engineer with 3+ years of experience to lead differential systems and driveline components. You will collaborate across vehicle engineering, manufacturing, validation, and suppliers to drive design, validation, and releases.

You will own DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, and change management while coordinating Tier 1 suppliers. You will support vehicle builds, launches, warranty investigations, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or related field (3+ years in automotive product development).
• Experience with differential systems, axle assemblies, gears, bearings, seals, lubrication, powertrain integration.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, root cause analysis, and automotive release processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and release of differential systems and driveline components.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineering, manufacturing, validation, and suppliers for system integration.
• Own engineering deliverables: DFMEA, DVP&R, FMEA, CAD models, GD&T drawings, BOMs, releases, and change management.
• Manage Tier 1 suppliers, technical reviews, prototype builds, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Support vehicle builds, launches, warranty investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
