Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee product and process quality throughout the lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer specs and automotive standards.
The role includes authority to stop production if there is risk of nonconforming material reaching customers. Responsibilities cover tooling release, PPAP coordination, PSW/IMDS approvals, and development of robust inspection systems.
Formación
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
Responsabilidades
- Tooling and equipment release across the manufacturing line for prototype to post-operations.
- Coordinate PPAP documentation and submit to customers per timelines.
- Manage PSW and IMDS approvals to 100% status.
- Develop and maintain work instructions for inspection and testing equipment.
- Perform quality planning activities including CTQ and launch documentation.
- Inspect prototype parts and support customers on quality performance.
- Upload documentation and ensure on-time quality planning within customer systems.
- Define special characteristics based on customer requirements and DFMEA.
- Define and implement inspection systems for each production line.
- Track engineering changes and monitor quality during model updates.
