Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) is seeking a Quality Engineer in Mexico to ensure product and process quality across all lifecycle stages. You will release tooling, coordinate PPAP, and manage PSW/IMDS approvals, while developing work instructions and CTQ-based quality planning.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive quality engineering, strong knowledge of PPAP/APQP/FMEA, and adherence to ISO 9001/IATF 16949. English proficiency is essential in a manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 3+ years of quality engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
• Experience with IMDS/PSW and customer-specific requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

Responsabilidades

• Release all tooling and production equipment across the full manufacturing line.
• Coordinate PPAP documentation and submit to customers per timelines.
• Manage PSW and IMDS approvals until 100% clearance.
• Develop and maintain work instructions for inspection and testing equipment.
• Plan quality activities: CTQ, gage planning, launch quality folders.
• Inspect prototype parts and support customers on quality performance.
• Define special characteristics based on customer requirements and DFMEA data.
• Implement inspection systems for each production line and improve visual aids.
• Monitor quality during engineering changes and model updates.
• Exercise stop authority to halt production or shipments when risk is detected.
