Job summary

HARMAN International is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to resolve design and manufacturing quality issues within the automotive sector. The role collaborates with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Field Service to drive issue resolution and flawless launch quality.

Key responsibilities include field containment, data-driven quality reporting, and leading problem-solving methodologies. Strong background in automotive quality tools and customer-facing documentation is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Customer Quality in Automotive Industry (T1).
• Knowledge of SPC, PPAP, DFSS, 8D, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with PFMEA, FMEA, and quality data analysis.
• Experience with customer portals, PPAP documentation and product launches.

Responsibilities

• Containment and rework at customer sites and supplier locations.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Prepare quality data reports and presentations for Harman and customer management.
• Coordinate manufacturing process changes with customer approvals and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement using Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma tools.
