Job summary

Jabil in Mexico is seeking an experienced technician to support assembly of advanced robotic and automation equipment. You will work under supervision to map, sequence, and perform assembly using mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing line equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and updating software and manuals while collaborating with engineering to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using advanced trades mathematics with drawings, specifications and charts.
• Skilled with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC and ladder logic.
• Able to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Judgment to handle complex drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic troubleshooting on assembly automation equipment.
• Repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic components.
• Performs equipment failure analysis and preventative maintenance on robotic equipment.
• Sets up production lines and supports pre-production runs.
• Assists in installing new automated equipment and moving equipment as needed.
• Creates and edits robot programs and updates manuals.
