Job summary

Jabil in Mexico is seeking an experienced technician to plan, map, and perform assembly of complex robotic and equipment systems. You will interpret verbal and written instructions and lay out mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical schematics for automated production lines.

The role focuses on diagnostic troubleshooting, repairs, program creation and updates, and collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams to keep production running efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply mathematics to complex drawings, specifications and charts.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments with accuracy.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs and ladder logic.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to adapt and apply technical knowledge to maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot assembly automation equipment.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems on robotic equipment.
• Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on automated equipment.
• Set up and optimize assembly lines and support pre-production runs.
• Assist in installing new automated equipment and relocate as needed.
• Create and edit robot programs; update manuals and programs.
• Record accurate activity reports for each equipment piece.
• Provide input to engineering on machine improvements.
• Maintain production maintenance schedule and parts inventory.
• Ensure software backups and updates; support safety and quality programs.
