ABB is seeking a Software Solutions Engineer to design, develop, and implement digital tools that enhance Proposals Engineering processes. You will identify automation opportunities, build AI-enabled solutions, and create software to streamline proposal generation, document processing, and workflow optimization.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development Engineering, Mechatronic, Electronic.
• 3+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming (Python preferred, VBA and C# desirable).
• SQL, Azure DevOps & Database Management.
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Desktop Automation Development and Application Development.
• AI & Machine Learning Fundamentals required.
• Advanced English.

This position reports to:

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement digital solutions that improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of Proposals Engineering processes. Identify automation opportunities, develop AI-enabled tools, and create software solutions that eliminate repetitive tasks, optimize workflows, and enhance the proposal team's productivity. Act as a technology partner for the Proposals organization by combining software development, process improvement, and artificial intelligence to drive continuous operational excellence.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Identifying manual, repetitive, and inefficient processes within the Proposal organization, and design, develop, and maintain software solutions that improve productivity and user experience.
• Developing automation tools, desktop applications, and AI-enabled solutions that streamline proposal generation, document processing, workflow optimization, and other business processes.
• Designing and implementing integrations between enterprise platforms, databases, and business applications using modern programming languages, APIs, cloud services, and automation technologies.
• Partnering with Proposal Engineers and business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, translate business needs into scalable digital solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Applying software engineering best practices, ensuring all solutions are secure, maintainable, well-documented, and compliant with ABB cybersecurity, governance, and quality standards

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development Engineering, Mechatronic, Electronic.
• 3+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming Languages (Python preferred, VBA and C# desirable)
• SQL, Azure DevOps & Database Management
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Desktop Automation Development and Application Development
