Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Mexico is seeking an Associate Sustaining Engineer to support product development, sustaining engineering, and factory activities. You will conduct engineering studies, run validation tests, implement design changes, and provide manufacturing support to ensure performance and quality.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/electrical/controls background, 0–3 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Creo Parametric, AutoCAD, and MS Project with strong Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in product development, project engineering, sustaining engineering, or manufacturing support.
• Conversational English.
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Project (Gantt charts) and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support product development through engineering studies, feasibility evaluations, design modifications, and cost analysis.
• Execute and analyze tests for systems, components, and sub-systems.
• Provide factory support by resolving design-related issues, material shortages, deviations, and manufacturing challenges.
• Evaluate alternative materials and design solutions through testing and validation.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, sketches, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with design, safety, and qualification standards.
• Drive product optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering changes and support production needs.
