Job summary

ABB in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, seeks a Project Manager to lead medium-complexity projects within Electrification Distribution Solutions. You will apply scheduling techniques, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and safety requirements.

You will work onsite and collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver contractual results while maintaining cost control and timely invoicing. Advanced English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the listed engineering fields.
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management in manufacturing.
• Advanced English required.

This position reports to:

Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of small projects with low complexity. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions business in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading the execution of projects with medium complexity and ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, cost/profitability targets, and scheduling targets.
• Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies.
• Monitoring and controling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow.
• Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements.
• Acting as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mecatronic, Electro - mecanic, Electronic Engineering.
• You are engaged in the electrification market
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management in manufacturing industry (Knowledge of financial concepts and contract management)
• Excel, Project Management Tool, SAP, Power Bi (Preferred)
• Advanced English required
• Valid USA VISA (Preferred)
