This role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales NPI Projects group. A successful incumbent is expected to:
- Develop, implement and update a work plan for the project management unit in a variety of projects including NPD, derivative products, Productivity, Quality Improvement and Business Development, including assignment of projects, establishment of and monitoring of project schedules.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on developing process improvement plans; implement action plans and report out on metrics.
- Support project teams in mitigating project risks by developing risk mitigation plans and facilitating crisis meetings with Operations Management, approving action plans and workarounds to mitigate project risk events.
- Establish, maintain and report on NPI KPIs.
- Provide regular updates on project status and risks to upper management; communicate relevant issues and deviations to management and technical personnel.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables; monitor and ensure adherence to program and department budget.
- Ensure resources are allocated properly for multiple project teams; analyze reported and potential issues to proactively assign resources required.
- Facilitate overall planning, resource coordination and scheduling of manufacturing functions.
- Ensure utilization of standardized tools and formats for planning, tracking, communicating and project risk mitigation.
- Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members.
- Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies.
- Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organizational information to the team.
Education/Certifications:
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in managing multiple projects with prior experience in a manufacturing environment with an additional 1+ year of prior supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Strong computer skills (especially MS Project or similar software).
- Strong knowledge of Windchill.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Proven ability to create detailed project plans and use resources efficiently.
- Ability to gather complex data and diagnose the cause of a problem.
