Oktober is a fast-growing Shopify retention agency seeking an entry-level email retention specialist. You'll gain real ownership from day one and a clear runway into owning client strategy as you advance to higher roles.

You will own copywriting for pod accounts, keep projects on track with status updates and approvals, and contribute to account strategy while building your own strategic instincts. This is a fully remote role with a defined growth path.

• Keep projects on track: provide status updates, chase approvals, manage sequencing.
• Contribute ideas to account strategy and build strategic instincts with Senior RM.
• Pull and format reports for Senior RM to turn into decisions.
• Spot blockers or delays before they become client issues.

Our team is small, sharp, and obsessed with turning one-time buyers into loyal customers and we're building the next generation of retention experts from the ground up. This is your way in.

This is an entry-level role into email retention - steep learning curve, real ownership from day one, and a clear runway into owning your own client strategy as a more senior Retention Manager down the line.

What you'll do:

1. Own copywriting for pod accounts (6-8) based on the strategy set by your pod's Senior RM

2. Keep projects on track: status updates, chasing approvals, day-to-day sequencing

3. Contribute ideas to account strategy and start building your own strategic instincts, working closely with your Senior RM

4. Pull and format reports so your Senior RM can turn them into decisions

5. Spot blockers or delays before they become a client's problem

What we're looking for (non negotiable):

1. First experience with copywriting: you know how to write copy that gets a response

2. First experience with project management: you can keep tasks, approvals and deadlines organized without things slipping

3. Reliability: you deliver what you promise, without needing to be chased

4. You own your mistakes and actually apply feedback, instead of just nodding along

5. Genuine hunger to grow into strategy and account ownership - this role is a launchpad, not a landing spot
