Chiaphua Components Group in Mexico is seeking an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team at the CCMX plant, covering IQC, SQA, production in-process QA, and customer QA. The role focuses on monitoring KPIs and presenting monthly quality performance to management.

The position requires strong communication with customers and suppliers, extensive QA experience in automotive-like environments, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English, including spoken and written communication; knowledge of Chinese is an advantage.
• Strong ability to address quality issues and communicate effectively with external parties, including customers and suppliers, as well as internal cross-functional teams.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, or supervisory roles within relevant industries.
• Solid knowledge of quality tools including APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP.

Assistant Quality Assurance Manager – CCMX

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in leading the QA team at the Mexico plant, covering Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), Production in-process Quality Assurance, and Customer Quality.
• Monitor and analyze QA department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports to management.
• Manage customer audits and third-party audits related to the QA function and provide guidance and training to suppliers as needed.
• Support, coach, and mentor team members to ensure compliance with automotive industry quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues effectively.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English, including spoken and written communication; knowledge of Chinese is an advantage.
• Strong ability to address quality issues and communicate effectively with external parties, including customers and suppliers, as well as internal cross-functional teams.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in Quality Engineering (QE), Process Engineering (PE), or supervisory roles within the PMDC motor, automotive or related industries.
• Solid knowledge of quality tools, including the Seven QC Tools and the Five Core Automotive Tools: APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and PPAP.
• Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, DMAIC, 5 Whys, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
• Experience with hypothesis testing, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Minitab is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of quality and environmental management systems and audit standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, RoHS, ELV, VDA 6.3 Process Audit, VDA 6.5 Product Audit, CQI-8 Layered Process Audit, as well as CQI-9, CQI-11, CQI-12, CQI-15, CQI-17, CQI-23, and CQI-27.
• Strong communication, presentation, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for business purposes.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and capable of effectively using AI tools to improve work efficiency.
