OPmobility seeks an Assembly Equipment Engineer to drive the design and realization of assembly equipment in line with customer requirements and project specifications. You will ensure smooth handover to the plant team, train staff, and participate in knowledge sharing for assembly technologies.

You will apply PFMEA and ergonomics analyses, validate supplier offers, and support process optimization across cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment. English proficiency is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in assembly engineering, manufacturing, industrialization, or equipment project management in automotive contexts.
• Solid knowledge of assembly equipment, manufacturing processes, and industrialization projects.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements and ergonomic principles in manufacturing.
• Experience with suppliers, equipment validation, commissioning, and process optimization preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Follows up design and realization of assembly equipment per customer requirements and specs.
• Ensures proper handover to the plant and trains the plant team.
• Participates in knowledge improvement and lessons learnt for assembly technologies.
• Follows HSE and ergonomics standards and rules.
• Contributes to conception of the assembly process with Engineering Program Manager and teams.
• Supports technical choices to improve the process.
• Establishes technical and economic analysis of supplier offers with purchasing.
• Validates equipment studies including PFMEA and ergonomics analysis.
• Validates supplier equipment and tunes in plant for product conformity.
• Participates in capability validation and productivity projects in the assembly department.

• Follows up design and realization of assembly equipment (serial or prototyping) according to customer requirements, project specifications (costs, timing, quality), assembly standards/best practices and HSE/ergonomics requirements
• Ensures proper equipment handover to the plant (performance convergence, training for plant team) § Participates in technical knowledge improvement of assembly technologies domain and in lessons learnt for projects under his/her responsibility.
• Follows HSE and ergonomics standards and rules
• Participates in the conception of the assembly process and equipment with Engineering Program Manager, Manufacturing Program Manager and associated extended team
• Supports MPM/EPM for technical choices in order to improve the process.
• Establishes technical and economic analysis of suppliers’ offers, together with purchasing department, in order to select the best solution.
• Follows up the design and the realization of assembly equipment.
• Realizes functional specifications regarding project elements and standard elements.
• Validates equipment study, including supervision of PFMEA, ergonomics study and the choice of possible solutions.
• Updates/adapts former feasibility study and technical choices if needed (perimeter changes)
• Validates equipment in supplier workshop, fine tune the equipment in the plant and ensure smooth transfer to plant team.
• Ensures the tuning of the equipment is properly done following instructions given by EPM/MPM, to converge to the product conformity.
• Validates necessary documentation for each equipment
• Analyzes results of action plans and risks.
• Participates in capability validation for each equipment.
• Participates in lessons learnt activities, productivity projects led in the assembly department.

Required Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in assembly engineering, manufacturing, industrialization, or assembly equipment project management within an automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or equipment manufacturer environment (experience in automotive lighting products is strongly preferred)
• Solid knowledge of assembly equipment, manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and industrialization projects.
• Good understanding of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and ergonomic principles in manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with suppliers, equipment validation, commissioning, and process optimization is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
