BMW Group in San Luis Potosí, Mexico invites engineering students for an Assembly Internship. You will work with expert mentors on an assembly project, applying classroom knowledge while contributing to production goals.

The program expects a 6th–9th semester student in Industrial/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering, with strong grades, English proficiency, and a valid RFC. On-site hours are 40/week, Jan–Jun 2027, with a monthly stipend and benefits.

• Have a valid RFC in Mexico.

• Good problem solving and communication abilities.
• Advanced English skills.

Responsabilidades

Requirements

• Be an active student of Industrial, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or related field of study, coursing 6th – 9th semester.
• Good grades 80/100.
• Availability (on site) from January 1st to June 30th 2027, preferably between 7:00 am – 2:30 pm (40 hours per week) from Monday to Friday in BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosí.
• Have a valid RFC.
• Good MS Office skills.
• Problem solving and with good communication skills.
• Advanced English skills.

Department Overview

Responsible for launching new vehicles to the market by developing, installing, and commissioning all line equipment and processes, while keeping production lines running through various types of maintenance.

Main Activities

• Track maintenance improvement ideas, prepare for process/safety/environmental audits, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and technical training follow-ups.
• Generate daily maintenance reports and follow up on lessons learned.
• Support daily production problem-solving methodologies in the first area of the assembly line.
